The Magic Kingdome...Where Dreams Come True !

This has been a fun day and we are not through yet, just back at the Hotel for a little rest. We started our day EARLY at the Coder's Conference where we heard Reed give the opening remarks and saw Johnnie Bisquit's funny sketch with his staff poking fun of his short e-mails, hard drive and motivation. Rex liked the Johnnie Bisquit part the most. Reed did a great job but was pacing so much we only got a picture of half of him. Rex was really great listening and sitting quietly. Rex and I then went to Breakfast at Goofy's kitchen. He was reluctant but agreed to go to the Breakfast buffet where Pluto greets you, Goofy cooks and Chip and Dale mill around. It was a huge buffet where everything imaginable for a kid is offered (all breakfast foods, pizza, salads, fresh fruit, desserts of every kind including an ice cream machine with all the toppings you could want) Rex went for the cold cereal, a piece of bacon and a piece of watermelon. When they asked all the kids to come forward to do the MACARENA with Goofy, Rex wanted to head to Disneyland. I was glad to go. This place is totally over-rated. We rode the monorail over in hopes of getting on NEMO (the most crowded ride) but it was closed for maintenance; we rode Autopia instead. We then headed for California Adventure where neither of us had ever been. It was great...a bit like MGM studios but bigger with more there. We went on California Soarin- A great ride that we both loved and then to a few little rides in BUG's LIFE. By my request, we went to the Aladin Show. Rex wasn't sure about this...just sitting and all, but he LOVED it. It was great and Aladin really did fly. We then went back to the Hotel for swimming and changing into shorts. We made a stop to have Mickey Mouse pretzels with the coders. We are now resting and will return to Disneyland tonight to ride a few rides. Eating is not a big deal to Rex; he just likes to snack. I should follow his example and quit looking for good restaurants to eat at Tomorrow, we have a list of rides to take Pop Pop on. We hope Reed can handle Disneyland, the lines, the rides, the crowds. He hasn't been since 1995.

We all loved the food at Goofy's Kitchen, in fact, it was the best we had in Disneyland. This brings back fun memories of our stay with our grandkids.

Yes...it looks like so much fun! Rex is the perfect age to go to Disneyland! What fun Grandparents you are and great one on one time for Rex to have with you!
