Good-Bye to the Happiest Place on Earth

We are all exhausted but what a fun few days. Rex has been great and excellent company. He is a wonderful traveling child. Rex was very excited that Reed was with us today. We began at Disneyland starting with Space Mountain, the Space Rockets, then onto the Jungle Cruise, Pirates and Splash Mountain. We went on Buzz Lightyear (for the 4th time) then returned on the monorail to the Disneyland Hotel for lunch at the coding conference. (after trying for 3 days we were finally able to ride in the front car of the Monorail where the real driver sits and you get a great view) After lunch we did the remote control boats on the hotel grounds and Rex had a quick swim. We then headed to California Adventure where we rode Soaring Over California which is amazing.(this was my request-and Rex was not happy about it...but he went)Next was a Rex request and we went on the Golden Rocket Ride and the small coaster which was a lot like Wild Mouse- We finished at Bug's Life and then went for Mexican Food at Tortilla Joe's. A balloon man made Rex a pirate hat and sword with holster. We returned to Disneyland for the Parade of Dreams and tried to talk Rex into one more ride---Thunder Mountain, but he was pretty set on going back to the hotel, so we took a tired boy back to the hotel and will watch the fireworks from our hotel window, unless we are all asleep...which I am betting on. This has been a wonderful time for us..a real treat for a grandparent. There will be more trips for our children's children.

Wow. I am so jealous. What an amazing time for him. Lucy is genuinely happy for him. Everyday she prays, "thank that Rex can go to Disneyland, and that I can go to Young Women's with mom".

She has missed him though, and asks each day when he is coming back. We will be happy to see him.

What a fun time! My favorite ride was Soarin' over California. Disneyland truly is a happy, fun, place.

I clicked on your blog from someone elses and when I saw the "BYU" shirt I had to chuckle. Knew right away you were fellow Mormons.

Loved the pictures. Makes me wishing for a vacation with NO SNOW.

How fun! It looks warm and nice there. Rex looks like he is very happy to be with such nice grandparents.
