We arrive home today....a long flight 24 hours...It has been wonderful. We spent yesterday in Dehli seeing the largest Mosque in India (15% of India is Muslim)called the Friday Mosque and Ghandi's Memorial. While Reed had meetings, I had a rickshaw ride through the market and did some shopping. Old Dehli has a red fort built by the Great Shah Jehan when he shifted his capital from Agra to Dehli.Lots of old, old courtyards, tombs, etc. New Dehli was laid out by the British and is very pretty, organized tree lined streets and cars drive in lanes;well, there are lanes but the cars never drive in their lane. It is beautiful and feels new and civilized. Here is where the Parliment Building is, the Presidential Palace and the famous India Gate. Our Guides have been fabulous and we have made many new friends. Highlights have been, the Traffic, the amounts of people, the Taj Mahal, the Dance School, the rickshaw ride and the people who would do anything for you. It has been a cultural, historical and eye-opening experience.....we will never forget it.
