Last September while in India,visiting the Taj Mahal, we made a big purchase... a table. We visited a factory that made tables quarried from the same marble as the Taj Mahal. We chose from many ornate tables with inlays and jewels embedded using the same techniques as the grand wonder of the world. Just the experience of buying the table was a memory I will never forget. We don't usually buy such "ornateness". We waited 7 months for the table to be made and to be delivered to us. It finally arrived in April in large, large, heavy wooden crates. It was packed with straw and burlap very tightly and it looked as though it could have floated here. It is now located on our patio where it made it's debut at a family dinner. We can now picture it with Kool Aid spilled on it.

Nice photos, Julie. It is a very fine table. I especially love all the ornamentation inlaid in there. Plus, it's the first patio furniture that is unlikely to end up in the pool after a little bit of nighttime wind.
