Sail On Sailor...

This past few days have been enjoyable; the weather is getting San Diego beautiful and we are finding lots to do.  The La Jolla YSA invited us to join some of them on a hike to the 3 Sisters water falls.  Only problem was that while not a long hike (under 5 miles round trip), it was very steep. We decided to only go half way.  But we had fun and the waterfalls, which we could see, were beautiful. We then drove to the quaint little town of Julian to have pie, which the town is famous for.

We also toured the USS Midway ship, which was really enjoyable, teaching us a lot about life on a Navy vessel.  The airplanes were cool, though looked dangerous to fly missions on.

Sister Pew finally went along with Elder Pew on a golf ride-a-long at Torrey Pines, which we both enjoyed. Beautiful Views and pretty good golf.

We took Sister Whitaker and her companion, Sister Babb, out for a final dinner since she returns home to Florida this week.  We will miss her.

We enjoyed General Conference and viewed it at the Institute Building with the YSA. Saturday there were a few who attended but Pizza was served so the numbers picked up in the afternoon. The Sunday Sessions had more in attendance and a Ham Dinner was served between sessions. The Bishopric and Wives are super supportive and provided these conference meals.

We start Pathway this coming week as well as a Family History Workshop.  So our teaching load will more than double, which is good.  We look forward to both of them.  We continue to teach our lunch institute class on Teachings of President Nelson, enjoy our Sunday Evening Come Follow Me Group and work the temple info booth each Tuesday afternoon.

Sister Babb from Orem and Sister Whitaker from Florida enjoy a
goodbye dinner. Sister Whitaker is heading home.
