In our 3rd week in the San Diego mission, the Institute activity was a "Meet the Pew's" night. They had a cool activity where everyone could answer questions about us via the internet on their phones through a fun APP called Kahoot. Unfortunately about an hour prior, Elder Pew was asked to take a YSA to the emergency room and missed the entire evening. She is ok now. Oh well, first things first.
Alan and Beth Hilton from the Brookhaven Ward and Bountiful temple shift, friends of ours, visited San Diego this week and we spent Thursday evening at the SD temple and went to dinner. Good times seeing our friends from home.
Elder Pew made an important acquisition this week - California registration of our car and Calif license plates. This enables him to get a SD identification card which significantly reduces the green fees at Torrey Pines golf course. Looking forward to good, cheap golf.
Carter McClean, one of our wonderful English YSA from years past and now living/working in Phoenix came over to visit with us for the MLK holiday weekend. We had a good time showing Carter some of San Diego (Coronado Island, Imperial Beach, the Mormon Battalion, Little Italy and La Jolla).
We taught our 4 institute classes - Saints twice and Eternal Family twice. We had more students this week which made each class more enjoyable. We also spoke in Sacrament Meeting and attended a Missionary Fireside. Great week!
